Family Units

Each FAMILY UNIT is comprised of 10 to 14 children, who come under the category of severe social cases, in addition to orphans who have lost their parents.

The children live together with a young couple whom often have a family of their own and who substitute for the children’s real parents. During the day these children receive an education, each child at a school appropriate for their individual development, and after school return to the FAMILY UNITS where the couple in charge of their unit see to their personal needs and give them the care and comfort of a normal family.

In addition to the attention these children receive from our psychologists and social workers, we also have a special psychologist who uses pets to work with the children. By living in this environment, these children experience a warm, caring family life beneficial to their development.

With the experience that we have had until now and upon the recommendation of the Department of Labor and Social Welfare, we decided to concentrate all our efforts on establishing additional FAMILY UNITS.
